- No. The system operates on a license-free band approved for industrial use in the United States.
- How many wearables can pair to one crane unit?
- Up to 10 lanyard wearables per crane-mounted alert unit. Multiple cranes can run on the same site without interference.
- What is the wireless range?
- Up to 1 km line-of-sight. Real-world range varies with obstructions, but covers typical crane site footprints with margin.
- Is there an app, subscription, or cloud service?
- No. The Buddie System is a self-contained hardware product — no app, no subscription, no internet connection required.
